10 Things from the Arts and Craft Show December 6th

  1. Everyone is ready before the start time. The time that doors were open to set up were a given time. There were crafters and vendors at the door early. Luckily there was staff even earlier to set up tables and chairs. The time to open the doors to the public was a set time. People came in earlier. Same thing happened at a book fair I recently participated in. Readers were checking out the books before start time. It’s actually encouraging. Advice, get there early

  2. It’s near Christmas time so there were decorations, and holiday themed gifts. There were people dressed in Christmas themed shirts and jackets.

  3. Hot Chocolate Bombs are still popular but the fad is fading.

  4. Crafters continue to craft during the Craft Show. I’ve watched artists stencil, pictures and then sell the picture a few minutes later. I’ve seen new scarves crocheted during the show. (That word, crocheted,  looks odd, but spell check is fine with it) I have adapted this during book fairs. I think I up blog ideas during an author talk. What better place to be in the zone?

  5. There are painters who are really good that you may not have heard of. City scenes with bright lights or rainy noir. Models and cars. Your local painter may have a scene near you.

  6. Jewelry can be made with copper, gems or coins.

  7. he craft show season is big from September to December. You may find the same crafter artisan at multiple shows.

  8. Well that’s different. Pens shaped into characters. Cutting boards made out different materials. Tree ornaments in different shapes.

  9. Antiques. No one said these materials and designs need to be on the latest material. You may find antiques restored into something new.

  10. veryone has a bag or carrying tote. When you go to these craft shows, you will need a bag. So many things to get!

Thank you to the many artisans that were at the Craft Show on December 6th for their stories and crafts.
