Elaine is late again

Elaine is a character in the Mix Tapes series of books. Getting ready to go out on a Friday night is always time consuming. She can tell you.

The whole group is at Tartans at 8o’clock. Tartans is a small restaurant with greasy food, crowds and yecch, the smell of fish in the dinning area. We go there for the best fries in the area, maybe best fries ever. 

Looks are important when a crowd meets up. What to wear is important. 

Big sweatshirt is too big. I bought it at Willowbrook two weeks ago. It was cheap so I grabbed it. I mean I paid for it, not just grab it. I’m not a thief or a burnout.

 I need something better. What if Jennifer H is there and she says something nasty about my shirt? She ruins everything. I hate her. Jennifer B always talks shoes.

I found a top at Mandes that will work.

What scrunchie goes with the blue top? Then I need shoes. 

Ok- change toblack top. Is that too much at nighttime?
